Even though my brush count continues to grow , I still have those “go to” brushes that I use everyday, and these are some of them. I tried to narrow it down to 10, but I have more favorites that I might list later. View a closer look below as well as names and descriptions of what I use each brush for.
Hair and Makeup Addiction Brushes
“the queen” – I use this brush mostly to apply my highlight color. I always use a liquid or cream before using a powder for my highlight, so I use the brush to place the color in my desired areas.
“the chiseler” – I spelled it wrong in the picture but I didn’t feel like making the whole thing over 🙂 I use this brush to apply my bronzer or powder over my cream contour.
“the classic painter” – Yes, I still use the classic painter brush majority of the time for my foundation. I use other brushes and sometimes (though rarely) the beauty blender for my foundation, but this brush doesn’t absorb as much of the product in my opinion, and allows me to clean up areas under my eyes easier since I almost always put makeup on my eyes before applying my foundation.
“the blusher” – I use this brush to set my face with a powder. Its not to large and not to small, and very soft!
“contour brush” – Where has this brush been all my life?! I’ve had it for several weeks now and it was an instant favorite, perfect for blending in my cream contour
“210 brush” – I use to be that girl that thought using brushes like this one was entirely to hard to apply my eye liner. Previously I had always used an angled liner brush or revlon’s liquid eyeliner that had a felt tip. However, this brush allows me to have more control over the size and shape of my liner.
“195 brush” – I use this brush when cleaning around my brows with concealer. The shape of it makes is super easy to achieve your desired brow shape.
“217 brush” – This was one of the very FIRST makeup brushes I bought from mac almost 13 years ago! Usually referred to as a “blending brush”, it does just that.
Motives Cosmetics Brushes
“130 concealer brush” – I love this brush to apply my eye shadow and glitter. You can also use it to apply concealer over small face blemishes
“229 detailing brush” – Get to all of those small areas of the eye like your tear duct and lash line with a small detailing brush like this one.
